Where to visit here in Iceland!

Updated: Jul 5, 2023

All I can say it was a day full of Waterfalls that I have never seen before in my life.

Where we went on this day:

  • Gullfoss Falls

  • Golden Circle (Geysirs)

  • Thingvellir National Park Iceland

We started the day on the best ever EF Ultimate break pink bus. My outfit matched the bus!

I had no idea that the bus was going to be pink lol.

While we were on the bus driving to the Gullfoss Falls, we stopped to say hello to Icelandic horses. We had the opportunity to pet them and give them a treat. They were so cute and sweet.

We drove about 40 minutes to Gullfoss Falls. It was absolutely amazing. The water from this waterfall carries all the glacier water that is 105 feet (32m) which is huge for a waterfall. We had walked all on a hiking trail of this waterfall ,but did not go all the way down because people were getting wet from the water fall. The view of the waterfall was stunning. Make sure you wear layers because it is very windy.

What I wore this day:

For size reference I am 5'3' and wear a size XS & S

Pink mitten, beanie, scarf set all from amazon:

Pink Cropped Puffer jacket from amazon:

Adidas: ( another pair I love)

Pink Mini Purse dupe to mine:

After the Gullfoss Falls, we went to the Golden Circle (This is where the Geysirs are located)

This was definitely the coolest part of this trip because it was amazing to see how high up in the air these Geysir's explode. Many people will have their phone on video waiting 5 minutes for the Geysir to explode which is crazy. This place is one of the most popular landmarks in Iceland because of history of these Geysirs exploding.

I definitely recommend visiting when in Iceland!

In the Afternoon, we had gone to our last stop of the day to visit the Thingvellir National Park here in Iceland. I have to say this Waterfall here at the National Park was definitely my favorite because it gave off a beautiful Iceland vibe that I just love. While we were here, our tour Guide David let us walk all around this National Park.

Our entire 40 plus tour group took a group photo in front of the Öxarárfoss waterfall. The water of this waterfall was absolutely gorgeous. This waterfall is known to be the most powerful/fastest waterfall here in Europe with a flow rate of 19m3/s.

This waterfall is the best scenery to take photos at. Remember to snap your photo at this location. As you can tell in this photo I am having the best time!

At the Thingvellir National Park, there are multiple hiking trails. We walked all over the trails and took photos of this beautiful scenery around the park.

After a full day here in Iceland , we went back to our hotel and rested. My girl gang and I met up for a wonderful fancy dinner at Grillmarkaðurinn. This place was good and we enjoyed our dinner. A 10/10 place to add to your list if you are staying in the city of Reykjavik.

After dinner we walked around the city and then got Icelandic vegan ice cream at Valdis. I highly recommend this place for a fun treat!

We had a great time with many adventures on this day! :)
